Grants and funds

BHM members have access to a variety of grants and funds. All grant applications are submitted electronically through My BHM (Mínar síður).

Private Sector Relief Fund

For members employed in the Private Sector. You can apply for grants for physical activity, treatments and preventions amongst other things.

Public Sector Relief Fund

For members employed in the Public Sector. You can apply for grants for physical activity, treatments and preventions amongst other things.

Vacation Fund

The BHM Vacation Fund rents apartments and vacation homes to its members all over the country. The fund also offers gift certificates, traveller's checks and various discounts.

Vocational Training Fund

The Fund provides grants for continuous education and retraining, including studies, courses, conferences, and organized professional visits.

Career Development Centre

The Fund provides grants for career development to individuals, unions, institutions, and municipalities.

Physical and mental treatment

The value of prioritizing mental and physical health is immeasurable, but grants can certainly provide valuable support. Members of the BHM Sickness Fund for the general labour market are eligible for a maximum grant of ISK 75,000 for treatments administered by certified healthcare professionals.
